I just love love the holiday season! I even got most of my Christmas shopping done, and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet! *gasp* I’m saving some of my shopping for Black Friday. The beauty of having a kid is to REALLY enjoy the holidays like doing those fun activities and learning about the holidays. So I looked up some fun Thanksgiving books for my daughter to read and I want to share some of my favorite Thanksgiving books for toddlers with you. 🙂
1. The Busy Little Squirrel by Nancy Tafuri
My daughter absolutely love this book because it has different animals and pumpkins in it so she made all of the animal sounds and says “pukin.”
2. The First Thanksgiving by Katherine Lynn Davis
This is the fun one. It’s a lift-the-flap book. Who doesn’t like lift-the-flap book!?
3. Five Silly Turkeys by Salina Yoon
A fun counting book of turkeys doing silly things.
4. My First Thanksgiving by Tomie dePaola
A perfect board book to teach your little ones about Thanksgiving.
5. Corduroy’s Thanksgiving by Lisa McCue
This book is about the classic character, Corduroy, and his friends on Thanksgiving Day full of parade, feast, and fun. Each character said what they are grateful for. Such a cute book with bright, colorful pictures.
I have many more Thanksgiving books recommendations for toddlers or any age! 🙂 Contact me if you need a good book to read yourself or with your kiddos! Happy Thanksgiving!
